DESCRIPTION:We love meeting our community heroes at Katie’s Krops! Join us for a fun and hands-on safety event, led by dedicated members of Summerville Fire Department! In this class, participants will learn essential fire safety practices, including fire prevention techniques, proper actions to take in case of a fire emergency, hands-on instruction on how to effectively use a fire extinguisher, and more!\nWe will gain insight into the tools and equipment firefighters use in their daily work, learn about the components of a firefighter’s uniform, and explore the operations of a fire truck while learning some favorite aspects of the job straight from the firefighters themselves as they share their experiences and passion for serving the community.\nDon’t miss this opportunity to empower our youth with life-saving knowledge and inspire future fire safety ambassadors!\n*Don’t forget your towel and clothes that can get wet! The fire department will help us beat the summer heat with some water from the fire truck!*\nNote: Because we are 100% outdoors, our classes are weather dependent. In the case of inclement weather, we will reschedule as soon as possible.\n
