DESCRIPTION:Migrating birds are arriving for spring! Join us for a very special visit from Mike Dawson, local birding expert and retired Center Director and Sanctuary Manager of Francis Beidler Forest. Learn about some of our area’s most common backyard birds, how to identify different bird songs and use recycled cedar fencing to build your very own bird feeder to help attract these feathered garden helpers to your own yard.\nChildren will use hammers and nails and follow instructions to assemble their bird feeder with caregiver assistance.\nWhile we love our gardening friends of all ages, attendance for this class is limited to children ages 6+. A chaperone must be present during class time.\nPlease note:\n– The Outdoor Classroom is 100% outdoors, unless otherwise noted. Please dress for each day’s weather.\n– Class fees are not refundable.\n– If Katie’s Krops cancels or reschedules a program, registrants may apply their class fee to a future class/event, or reclassify their registration fee as a donation to the garden.\n– Registrants withdrawing up to 48 hours prior to the program will be eligible to apply their fee to a future class/event.\n– Registrants who are a “no-show” will forfeit their registration fee.\n
