SUMMARY:Great Southeast Pollinator Census – Youth Community Science Activity
DESCRIPTION:Calling all young scientists and pollinator enthusiasts! Join us in the garden for one of our favorite community science project traditions. We’ll learn some basic entomology and select a blooming pollinator plant to observe for 15 minutes, where we’ll collect important information to share with UGA. Check out the video on the official Great Southeast Pollinator Census website for a quick overview of how we’ll perform our count: https://gsepc.org/ ( https://gsepc.org/ )\nWe’ll provide all materials needed for the count and each youth participant with receive an official certificate. Please bring a towel or blanket to sit on while you’re observing. Don’t forget your lowcountry summer essentials – water, sunscreen, and bug spray!\nPlease include the names and ages of all children participating in the Additional Comments section so we can prepare their official certificate for them!\n
