4-H in the Garden – Monarch Tagging Program (Ages 5+)

Join us for a very special visit from 4-H and learn about tracking monarchs! The Monarch butterfly has been added to the endangered species list! Join 4-H in an interactive lesson on Monarch butterflies and learn the importance of tagging programs in correlation with Monarch migration. Tagging programs are a citizen science effort to track the number of Monarchs visiting an area. Scientists use the data we collect to determine the number of Monarchs in a population. Help the Monarchs by becoming an Entomologist for a day!

While we love our gardening friends of all ages, rattendance for this class is limited to children in kindergarten-5th grade. A chaperone must be present during class time.
