Our goal

Katie’s Krops wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, or other assistive technology. We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as our standard.

What we’ve done

In November 2026 we checked every page and post on katieskrops.com against WCAG 2.1 AA and fixed what we found:

• Text descriptions for images, including the photos in older posts
• Visible labels on every form field, and fields that work with autofill
• Menus that open and close with a keyboard, a visible focus outline and a skip to content link
• Stronger color contrast and clearer link text
• Pages that still work when zoomed to 200% or read on a small phone
• A pause button on every video and slideshow that moves on its own. They start paused if your device is set to reduce motion.

What we’re still working on

Some videos embedded from news sites and YouTube may not have accurate captions, and pages run by other services, like our donation page and Amazon wish list, may not fully meet the standard.
