Great Southeast Pollinator Census – Youth Community Science Activity

Calling all young scientists and pollinator enthusiasts! Join us in the garden for one of our favorite community science project traditions. We’ll learn some basic entomology and select a blooming pollinator plant to observe for 15 minutes, where we’ll collect important information to share with UGA. Check out the video on the official Great Southeast Pollinator Census website for a quick overview of how we’ll perform our count: https://gsepc.org/

We’ll provide all materials needed for the count and each youth participant with receive an official certificate. Please bring a towel or blanket to sit on while you’re observing. Don’t forget your lowcountry summer essentials – water, sunscreen, and bug spray!

Please include the names and ages of all children participating in the Additional Comments section so we can prepare their official certificate for them!
