Intro to Gardening – Covering the Basics (5+)

Curious about Katie’s Krops? Always wanted a home vegetable garden, but not sure where to start?

Join us for a special visit from Clemson Extension Master Gardener Lisa Turocy and learn about the basics of starting your own garden. Ms. Lisa will share an overview of the best practices for home vegetable gardening, including how to design your garden, starting from seed, and maintaining your garden. After class, stay for a garden tour and learn how you can help Katie’s Krops grow!

In lieu of a monetary donation, we humbly ask all attendees bring a food donation to help with the next Katie’s Krops dinner. Our current needs include: penne or macaroni pasta, jars of spaghetti sauce, canned corn, cornbread mix, velveeta cheese, canned kidney beans, ranch dressing, or stuffing mix.

While we love our gardening friends of all ages, this class is limited to children K-5th plus a caregiver/chaperone.
