Starting from Seed – The Basics (Age
February is the perfect time to start seeds for our spring gardens. Join us for a special visit from Clemson Extension Master Gardener Lisa Turocy and brush up on your seed starting knowledge! A few of the topics we will cover will include a quick review of the life cycle of a plant, starting seeds indoors and direct sowing outside, the process for transitioning your seedlings to the outside, and problems you might encounter. Ms. Lisa will walk us through it all and guide us on the best practices for starting seeds to help you plan ahead for a successful spring garden! Please be sure to bring pencils and paper if you would like to take notes.
Caregiver attendance is required, but please only register the number of children attending. While we love our gardening friends of all ages, this class is limited to children ages 6-10. We kindly ask only registered chidlren and their caregiver(s) attend.
